Inside the farmhouse

Cnewr Farmhouse holiday lettings

Take a break and stay in a stunning Grade II*-listed farmhouse at the centre of the beautiful 12,500-acre Cnewr Estate. The Estate is a family-owned working farm in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The farmhouse was beautifully refurbished to a very high standard during 2015 and guests love it!

Cnewr is a perfect destination for a family-friendly holiday. You get all the benefits of a remote location but with easy access to roads to Brecon and beyond. Discover the ideal starting point to explore the surrounding hills, valleys, lakes, towns and villages. You will find plenty to do throughout the Brecon Beacons National Park and Forest Fawr GeoPark.

You can step outside the farmhouse and get access to the Estate for walking, mountain biking and picnicking. If you enjoy fly fishing, our guests can request a complementary licence to fly fish on Crai Reservoir. You will also discover a wide range of activities in the local Brecon area, including golf, pony trekking, quad biking and clay pigeon shooting. What's more, it's not far from Cnewr to the stunning beaches of the Gower coast.

The farmhouse has four double bedrooms, one double or twin (let us know how you want it made up) and two twin bedrooms. The thick stone walls provide plenty of soundproofing and good quality, heavy curtains keep the bedrooms dark and cosy. There are two bathrooms with bath, over bath shower and loo, three shower rooms with loo and two separate loos. There is a sofa bed in the games room sleeping an additional 1-2 people if required.

There are lots of communal areas downstairs for you to sit and relax. There is a large sitting room with woodburner and a large dining room if you fancy having a formal meal during your stay. There's also a games/tv room with a sofa bed, a snug with woodburner and tv. We feel the true heart of the house is the large, well-equipped kitchen diner. You can cook on the Aga and sit together to share food in the cosy . There is also an outside boot room/drying room which you might find invaluable after a day of outdoor adventures!

There's also a laundry room for our guests, with a washing machine and a tumble drier.
