Cnewr Estate

Filming in the Brecon Beacons

Cnewr Estate, with its farmhouse and cottage, provides a spectacular filming location in the heart of the Brecon Beacons
Visit Wales for a stunning film location, less than 200 miles from London. The Cnewr Estate is just 40 miles from the M4, making it the ideal photo shoot and filming location.
Easy access
If you are looking to film water, the Brecon Beacons boast numerous beautiful water courses and we have sole rights over the Cray reservoir. It provides 3km of shore line and is accessible directly from the A4067 which makes it extremely convenient. For other shots, you can use our private roads across the hills for instant access to the most remote areas of moorland and beautiful mountain vistas. This is a working farm with two properties that are available to rent. You can book Cnewr Farmhouse and smaller Fan Cottage to house your film crew during your shoot.
Eddie Izzard's Marathon Man
Most recently Cnewr Estate featured in the BBC's Secret Britain: Water World of Wales. The whole Estate was used for the BBC's four-part series Marathon Man, Eddie Izzard's running tour of the UK, where it formed the spectacular opening sequence for each episode.
