One of the best things to do when you're in the Brecon Beacons is head south and explore the stunning beaches of the Gower Peninsula (Cnewr is just 25 miles from the coast).
There are great beaches at Caswell, Oxwich and Three Cliffs bays, and beautiful, 3-mile Rhossili Bay is regularly voted as one of the best beaches in the world.

Spectacularly perched on a sheer cliff face at the west edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, Carreg Cennen is worth a visit for the location alone, few castles can boast such a stunning setting. There's a good cafe by the car park.

No list of things to do in the Brecon Beacons would be complete without Waterfall Country - one of the most beautiful and popular parts of the Brecon Beacons National Park, with steep, tree-lined gorges and beautiful tumbling water.
A series of walks takes you to Henrhyd Falls, the highest in the Beacons, Sgwd yr Eira (which you can actually walk behind) and the beautiful Sgwd Gwladus or Lady Falls.
